One of my other half Sarah’s favourite Romantic Dramas to watch, more so because of Gérard Butler but a great choice for what to watch on Netflix on valentines day.

A romantic, dram which follows Gerry (Gerard Butler), the husband of Holly Kennedy (Hilary Swank).

Gerry dies from an illness, Holly loses the love of her life. But know truly how hard Holly will take his death, Gerry makes plans and sets something beautiful in place to follow after his death.

Beginning on her 30th birthday, she receives the first in a series of letters written by Gerry, written with an aim to ease her grief and encourage her to move forward to a new life.

Settle down with a box of tissues, some snacks and wine and enjoy this as one of the Films to watch on Netflix on valentines day.

Dear John.

Dear John is a romantic drama which shows when soldier John (Channing Tatum) meets an idealistic college student, Savannah (Amanda Seyfried).

It is the beginning of a truly strong romance. Over the next seven years and separated by John’s increasingly dangerous deployment, the lovers stay in touch through their letters, meeting in person only rarely. However, their correspondence triggers consequences that neither could foresee.

A true classic, Notting Hill is one of the Films to watch on Netflix on valentines day.
Notting Hill.

Now it wouldn’t be a line up of what films to watch on Netflix on valentines day without this classic and leaving one of the best until last, Notting Hill.

In this classic William (Hugh Grant) is a London bookstore owner whose whole life is thrown into romantic turmoil when famous American actress Anna (Julia Roberts) appears in his shop.

A chance encounter over spilled orange juice leads to a kiss that blossoms into a full-blown affair. As the average bloke and glamorous movie star draw closer and closer together, they struggle to reconcile their radically different lifestyles in the name of love.
