50 First Dates.
50 First Dates, such a classic Rom-Com and a perfect addition which both the guys and the ladies will be an enjoyable film to watch on Netflix on valentines day.
50 First dates follows Henry Roth (Adam Sandler), a typical guy who is afraid of commitment, that is until he meets the beautiful Lucy (Drew Barrymore). They hit it off and Henry thinks that he’s finally found the girl of his dreams that is until he discovers that she has short-term memory loss and forgets him the next day.
A challenge for any guy but Henry puts in the effort every day to date Lucy and show her affection to get her to fall in love with him everyday.
50 Shades of Gray.
This has to be the ultimate valentine selection right? No idea how much of the film you may actually watch but still a great movie to set a scene and get things going.
Based on the worldwide hit series of books written by author E L James. 50 Shades of Gray introduces you to a wealthy, older man – Christian and a naïve college student – Ana who in typical fashion fall for each other but along the way engage in an intense relationship marked by the exploration of erotic extremes. With twists and turns and drama this is a choice of what films to watch on Netflix on valentines day.
Can you make it through the full series of films without you know, a spot of valentines delight?
A truly gripping love story set In 1940’s South Carolina, mill worker Noah (Ryan Gosling) and rich girl Allie (Rachel McAdams) are desperately in love. There is one problem, Allie’s parents do not approve.
When Noah goes off to serve in World War II, it seems to mark the end of their love affair. In the interim, Allie becomes involved with another man. But when Noah returns to their small town years later, on the verge of Allie’s marriage, it soon becomes clear that their romance is anything but over.
P.S. I Love You.
One of my other half Sarah’s favourite Romantic Dramas to watch, more so because of Gérard Butler but a great choice for what to watch on Netflix on valentines day.
A romantic, dram which follows Gerry (Gerard Butler), the husband of Holly Kennedy (Hilary Swank).
Gerry dies from an illness, Holly loses the love of her life. But know truly how hard Holly will take his death, Gerry makes plans and sets something beautiful in place to follow after his death.
Beginning on her 30th birthday, she receives the first in a series of letters written by Gerry, written with an aim to ease her grief and encourage her to move forward to a new life.
Settle down with a box of tissues, some snacks and wine and enjoy this as one of the Films to watch on Netflix on valentines day.
Dear John is a romantic drama which shows when soldier John (Channing Tatum) meets an idealistic college student, Savannah (Amanda Seyfried).
It is the beginning of a truly strong romance. Over the next seven years and separated by John’s increasingly dangerous deployment, the lovers stay in touch through their letters, meeting in person only rarely. However, their correspondence triggers consequences that neither could foresee.
Now it wouldn’t be a line up of what films to watch on Netflix on valentines day without this classic and leaving one of the best until last, Notting Hill.
In this classic William (Hugh Grant) is a London bookstore owner whose whole life is thrown into romantic turmoil when famous American actress Anna (Julia Roberts) appears in his shop.
A chance encounter over spilled orange juice leads to a kiss that blossoms into a full-blown affair. As the average bloke and glamorous movie star draw closer and closer together, they struggle to reconcile their radically different lifestyles in the name of love.Follow The Yorkie not just for Dads Blog on WordPress.com
