New Year 2021

New Year 2021 what will be will be.

So we are almost coming to the end of 2020, now in what some may call the Christmas Gooch with a countdown to New Year 2021.

2020 has been one hell of a year, or for some just general hell with the impact Covid has had on many peoples lives. The affect it has had on many peoples mental health, loss of loved ones and the lack of social contact with family members and friends.

I know I won’t be alone in saying this but I hope the New Year 2021 will bring more stability.

What could we expect from the New Year 2021?

A stressful and uncertain time for many not only with everything the Coronavirus is still issuing us with as well as this new strain.

We also have Brexit to think about and what impact that may have on our day to day lives. But still we can head into New Year 2021 with a sense of optimism and positivity.

We made it through 2020, we know what to expect if we have more lockdowns issued, we sort of understand the governments Tier system – I still don’t quite understand it so don’t worry if you don’t.

I hope that there will be more stability and a sense of routine with everything for the coming New Year. We know what the score is with Schools and can also be prepared if we have to home school.

Where we stand with what sort of social life we can live with, a sense of in the know if our supplies in the form of shopping will be affected with the Brexit deal.

What can we take from 2020 as we move into 2021?

Certainly a challenge but there is plenty we can take from 2020 into the New Year 2021. One big one is Family.

Spending so much time together and being able to connect with our partners and children has been an amazing thing to come out of such a negative year. It has improved us as parents in a way and given us all the chance to experience life with our children that we never thought we would.

One positive we can take into new year 2021 is the family time we have had during 2020.

One big one for me was education, I never imagined having a hand in my children’s education other than helping with projects and homework. 2020 gave us the era of homeschooling, we were given the role of teacher.

I myself loved getting to know the subjects my kids loved at school and genuinely had a passion for learning about but also the subjects they genuinely disliked.

This is something without homeschooling we would never have known truly other than them telling us, having the opportunity to share that with them has been amazing.

New Year Resolutions and Goals.

I’m certainly not one for making resolutions or goals but I know some of you do and will be.

What goals will you be making for the new year 2021? What are you wanting to achieve and what would you like to improve on.

I know many have made the switch from being office based with work to remote working, would you like to continue this and work more from home. Having the flexibility of being more hands on with the family?

Yorkie not just for Dads and New Year 2021.

I just wanted to take a moment to reflect on my blog here a little. Yorkie not just for Dads was something I began just to fill in some time and diary my time as the Stay at home Dad. I’m so glad I did as this year has been epic.

Yorkie not just for Dads and what new year 2021 will bring for me and my blog.

Through my time blogging I have got to know many people from various walks of life, many I would call friends. The blog has grown and adapted and created opportunities that myself and my family are thankful for and I hope to continue this into 2021.

Heres a question for you all though, what would you like to see in 2021 from the Yorkie not just for Dads Blog?

There are a few things with the Blog that I am excited about for the new year but for that you will just have to keep your eyes peeled.

I hope everyone has had a great Christmas and I would just like to wish you all a Happy New Year.

  4. Yeah, 2020 has been a strange year. I think we all need to be prepared for much of the same for the first half of 2021 and the way things are going, definitely need to be ready for more homeschooloing! The vaccines are good news thoguh. They give us hope. Wishing you and yours all the best for the year ahead Eddie.

    1. The vaccine is good news, something that hopefully will be able to offer back some normality. It is going to be another strange year but will be easier as we know what to expect.
