Peppa Pig Grow and Play – Fun growing Easy-to-Grow Seeds with Peppa Pig and Friends.

AD – This post is an Advert. The products shown were recently gifted to us for the purpose of a review, all thoughts and honest opinion in this post are my own, which is what I shall be giving you with regards to this gifted PR product.

With having two younger children in the house, Pig who is your typical 4 year old and Beast, well she is just a crackers toddler putting it simply. But they both absolutely love Peppa Pig, Beast especially. So we were all super excited to recieve 3 of the sets from the new Peppa Pig Grow and Play toys.

Beast these days is frequently found stood on the fireplace pointing to our TV on the wall shouting PEPPA.

The girls were so excited when the postman delivered a box full of Peppa Pig goodies. We received 3 of the New Peppa Pig Grow and Play pots toys – Peppa Pig, Suzy Sheep and Rebecca Rabbit.

The Peppa Pig Grow and Play toys have a set of 4 available. If your little ones are Peppa Pig fans then stick around and see what these have in store for your little muddy puddle jumpers.

Peppa Pig Growing Pot Assortment

So first things first you will probably be wondering what these actually are.

The Peppa Pig Grow and Play assortment are these cute little plant pots that your kids can grow easy-to-grow seeds in,too simple I know.

They are actually rather cute, the Plant Pot itself is an interactive little house, the door at the front opens allowing access within the pot (don’t worry it is enclosed within the pot so there will be no mud avalanches here).

Each set comes with a character, with obviously one being the main leading lady herself Peppa Pig, her younger brother George and best friends Suzy Sheep and Rebecca Rabbit.

All of whom have they’re own little house (hence why there are 4 available in the set).

In each set they include 1 character figurine, accessories, the Pot itself, a propagator and a packet of Seeds. Now it’s getting interesting.

The only thing you will need to have for this set is obviously the soil/compost.

Peppa Pig Grow and Play: Who grows what?

We were sent Peppa pig, Rebecca Rabbit and Suzy sheep, each have their own coloured pot and different packet of seeds within each set.

Grow Cress from seeds with Peppa Pig, Basil with Rebecca Rabbit and Red Amaranth (I’ve never heard of this before so looking forward to giving it a try) with Suzy Sheep. With George who we didn’t receive you will grow Pea Shoots.

All are to grow from seedlings so you get to teach your children in a fun way with something they adore to plant “easy-to-grow” seeds, have some responsibility of caring for their plants and watching them grow.

Along with also introducing them to new tastes too. Egg and Cress sandwich anyone?

Peppa Pig Grow and Play: Peppa Pig Planter

A vibrant yellow is the theme of Peppa’s house, her little play figure is ready to get stuck into some gardening wearing her boots and apron.

The accesories that come with Peppa are a cute little Pink Bird and a Shovel (the birds feet are shaped so that it will perch itself on the shovel).

Pig loved playing with Peppa Pig, making sure the bird was on the shovel and pretending that Peppa was running out of the house to scare the bird away from her seeds.

She enjoyed adding the compost to the pot and sprinkling the seeds. She says goodnight to her seeds and tucks them up snug at night on our kitchen windowsill using the propagator provided.

Peppa Pig Grow and Play: Suzy Sheep Planter

The same as Peppa for her best friend Suzy Sheep also ready in her apron and Boots, Suzy’s house is a very pretty purple. The accesories that come with Suzy sheep is a quirky little daffodil windmill (the girls enjoyed making this spin when they blew it).

Titch took the lead with planting Suzy’s seeds which is Red Amaranth, Independently adding the compost and knew exactly what to do with the seeds as she has grown various plants from seeds with her Daddy when they have their weekends there.

Peppa Pig Grow and Play: Rebecca Rabbit Planter

Rebecca Rabbit another great friend of Peppa’s is available in the set too, she has a beautiful pink Pot for her house. And again prepared for getting dirty with her apron and boots too along with her friends.

Rebecca comes with such a sweet little wheelbarrow and as she is a rabbit it’s essential that she has a carrot.

We couldn’t have Peppa Pig toys in the house and not let Beast get involved so with parental supervision – (Sarah was supervising me supervising Beast just so you know there was at least one responsible adult present).

Together we added the compost to Rebecca’s house, as she sprinkled the seeds she decided that she wanted to wear them and poured the rest of the packet over herself.

A little Budding gardener in the making thanks to Peppa Pig and these Growing Pots.

She’s a toddler what do you expect. I will add this here though that these sets of Peppa Pig Growing Pots are recommended for 4yrs+.

So if you do have a smaller budding Peppa Pig fan amongst the ranks like Beast (20 months) then they must be supervised by an Adult due to small parts and choking hazard (always sounds extreme that doesn’t it but best to be safe eh).

If you get more than one, each Pot comes with a little white fence piece with a tree which allows each pot to be connected together so you can create yourself a little street of houses. A great little idea is that one.

Create your own street of Peppa Pig Growing Pots thanks to the fence being attachable to each pot in the set.

Peppa Pig Grow and Play: Where can I get these from?

Tell me more, tell me more, where can I get me som of these!! Sorry for those lyrics!

I can imagine your now cursing me for getting the ever so famous lyrics and tune from John Travolta’s hit Grease song, Summer Nights in your head aren’t you.

Well I’m sure you want to know the more Adulting information based around this Peppa Pig product wouldn’t you? I know I don’t like adulting at times either but hey, we have to do it.

They are available now from Smyths Toy’s at a very reasonable £9.99 rrp (not bad for a brand such as Peppa Pig really is it). Here is the Link for you – Peppa Pig Growing Pot Assortment at Smyths Toys.

You can find Peppa, her little brother George and her Friends Suzy and Rebecca also on Social Media too:

The Yorkshire Daddy Pig’s Verdict

I would recommend this for the budding Peppa Pig fans out there. I found it a great combo to mix the fun of playing with their favourite Peppa characters and intertwining growing Seeds and learning/watching the process in with it too.

These look absolutely brilliant! My daughter is 3 and has been Peppa Pig obsessed for the past 12 months. We have a lot of the little figurines but I love the concept of these that she has to care and nurture the plants. Thanks for sharing – I’m going to have a look for them in the shops 🙂
